Our Debt Story
See if you can relate to this story of foreclosure as it’s our very personal story written especially for you and this website outlines the many steps we had to take and will continue to take to save our family home, family car, and oh yes, most importantly our sanity.
Oh, it is just a piece of dirt quit stressing and get over yourself because there will be another day and time when you will have all this over again and you shouldn’t be so attached. Have you ever had someone say this to you? You’re struggling to get debt relief and you are hearing negative things like this. Amazing is it not, this individual referencing the home that you have worked very hard to obtain and keep.
Remember, you probably started out just passing some flirtatious looks (flirting with the idea of homeownership) and then you got up the nerve to ask for the first date (finding out the actual asking price of the property). Then, you continued on dating the idea of homeownership but felt it was time.
You had found the perfect place but wanted to keep the possibilities open just a bit longer but finally you broke down and shopped mortgages, did all the planning, and then you set that date for the final union called the closing date and then you and your home became one.
Then as the years passed by things started to get challenging but everyone pushed through and yet still papers came through the mail saying that danger was straight ahead. The danger was legal papers from your lender threatening foreclosure due to some financial problems you needed to overcome as discussed here.
What most people do not realize is that most individuals who have the opportunity to live in their first home tend to treat it as a special relationship and put a lot into the process from day one because the intention in most cases is to live happily ever after.
And while it is true there will always be another piece of property waiting for you if you desire or if your homeownership path changes, it’ll always depend on how you have handled your financial affairs now even in the midst of a financial hardship. Financial hardship or no financial hardship, we list page-by-page steps we’ve taken over the years for debt relief and steps you can take for debt relief.
